I've never had Medicare, considering I live here. It strikes me that, if any consequential medical event occurred, you wouldn't have time to fly "home" to use it. I'd gamble on the 10%. If you're "only" 65, you can get int'l health insurance. Better to self-insure and use public hospitals. If you've got a special situation, e.g., US military retirement coverage, they cover private hospitals. In my opinion, hospitals don't need a McDonalds. BTW, have you ever noticed what crap is available to outpatients and staff in all hospitals? White, plastic, fried death wish.
