Popular Post ThailandRyan
Another bump upwards. This does not look like any other countries covid cases with Omicron as the main variant. Something is amiss here and it's not only because of a lack of testing.... 3
dinsdale
As of yesterday 3 cases at my school. I expect this will increase. As for ATK my school only does nasal swabs. Interesting as the local hospital does both throat and nasal swabs for omicron.

Think even with lack of testing you'd see an increase up to plateau eventually, not this rolling wave on the bar chart, something definitely amiss. Also the rhetoric from the government does not match what is happening with the case numbers.

It does seem very high at roughly a Third of all cases reported on the Island I guess the answer to that little puzzle could be in the number of Thais -343 reported, that have contracted the Virus,

Just shows the difference between how the Thais are testing their own population and the tourists. Tourists have no choice unfortunately about reporting positive tests, unlike the locals who can just hideaway without reporting or just throw the ATK in the bin and carry on as normal if they need to earn a living to put food on the table and roof over their heads. I truly believe this 5 day test has turned into a cash cow now, trying to squeeze every last bit from tourists.
