In an attempt to eradicate the problem, the man decided to use a pair of scissors to 'trim' the skin of his penis before amputating it completely, leaving a 2cm stump and a 5cm laceration in his scrotum.

This is not a good story for our cannabis legalization campaign.

 

I am not going to be the one to say that if this Thai man left a 2 cm stump it must have just been a slight trim.

Yes i mean we seen people kill 4 while on alcohol so then its ok but when someone does damage to themselves under the influence of canabis its bad. I rather have someone cut of his on junk then to kill others while drunk.

 

So yea canabis is far better, that said no drug is perfect and alcohol is really bad one.

No way did the canabis make him do this.  There must be other factors involved .   Mental health, another illicit drug or something.   No where in history  has canabis made someone  lose control like that.

There are so many holes in this story that I can't believe the author can make these claims with a straight face.

 

"Cannabis-induced psychosis"...??

"Smoking cannabis can cause mild hallucinations"...??

"....painful erection...which can be a side-effect of smoking cannabis....?? 

 

I smoked for a lot of years and never saw any of this.  Maybe the guy was on meth or yaba, or perhaps the guy is just plain nuts.  But to say that pot caused this guy to cut off his penis....??  Lordy. 

 

... really? In 45 years of, uh, acquaintance I haven't felt the urge to self-castrate nor did anything like this happen to any of the 1000s likeminded folks I've come across in that time.

 

Oh wait, there it says 'Thai man' ... of course, they react differently than anyone else on this here planet, LOL ...

 

Also - like with pretty much anything else - it's the amount that makes the poison, nothing new here.

I would certainly think that he had an underlying mental health problem prior to the episode.

 

More likely meth as tweekers can go into raging paranoid psychosis.
Weed.  If weed was involved meth probably was too.
More likely a campaign to demonize cannabis prior to taking completely off the Cat 5 narcotics list.  Need to instill the Reefer Madness fear into the common-folk.

It has been called a gateway drug, which is a very incorrect way of looking at drug use, mostly drug use does not progress in a linear fashion when it come consumption.

More frequently in the past decade or more, problematic drug consumption has begun with amphetimines (easier to secure and cheaper), prescription meds (self medication) and often  younger users frowned upon dope, as for old people and loosers.

In many years of professional experience in western countries, rarely if ever have I seen canninbis (only user drug) self harm, or become violent.

Polysubstance use however is another matter, and dope may be part of the mix there, though rarely

Cannabis a psychogenic drug. Causes Psychosis…. too many cases of psychosis / violence for it to be promoted or legalized.

Although I would want to see ALL Drugs legalized controlled taxed.

Let all weak minded fools remove themselves from society, healthcare  & gene pool by immediate overdose
