Really - except that countries all over the world have similar problems with tests and a huge number of expats over 60 took driving tests that are simply risible - duo how do you figure it's the "biggest" problem? There are also many ASEAN and Thai organisations that have offered advice. Every time and without exception, they are ignored by successive governments who seem to think , like many posters on Thaivisa, that they know better. They stick to pointlessly picking out one aspect as if it will make a difference. The solution IS out there - it requires fundamental changes and will cost "millions" - but, in the long run it will save the economy trillions. Here are a few organisations that have been ignored. There are many other instances where the Thai authorities ignore internationally backed science - conservation is one that springs mind. Basically the Thai system is undemocratic and run by a clique who seem impervious to outside advice. Years back they refused to admit AIDs existed in Thailand and have taken ages to come to terms with Covid. Without an effective parliament and opposition, it is very difficult to achieve the required fundamental change
