green Pedestrian light and green for cars

The video show a pedestrian crossing that has a green light for Pedestrians and cars at the same time.  I nearly got run over, because I thought the green light meant it was safe to cross.

Like that one on Sena Festival... have many more where the cars going left have green with the pedestrians.
Even some write, can drive left always...

This situation is covered by section 22 of the Road Traffic Act B.E. 2522 (1979), as amended:

The driver must follow the traffic signal and traffic sign which appears ahead in the following cases:

...

4)⁷ for green arrow light traffic signal pointing to turn or to go ahead, or red light traffic signal shown at the same time with green arrow light traffic signal pointing to turn or to go ahead, the driver shall turn or go ahead following the direction pointed by the arrow, and must drive with care and give privilege to the pedestrian crossing the road or the conveyance coming from right hand side before;

...

⁷ Section 22(4) is amended by the Road Traffic Act (No. 4), B.E. 2535 (1992).

Sena Fest on Charoen Nakhon Road in Khlong San district in Thonburi, Bangkok, corner Thanon Krung Thon Buri.

 

I know this intersection well. You are talking about the pedestrian crossing across Charoen Nakhon Road. Every time I cross there from Sena Fest to the pedestrian island between the two traffic directions, I hold up my hand to stop the traffic like a policeman would, one lane after the other, and there has been nary a time that the vehicles did not stop for me and the other pedestrians who chose to follow me.
