Krabi In August?

Featured Replies

Thinking of going to either Krabi, Phi Phi or Phuket sometime in August...what kind of waether should I expect?

Also I was just looking at the flight costs on Air Asia, VERY cheap, some as little as 400 baht one way, are there any hidden costs? Do you still have to pay the 700 baht airport tax when you fly within Thailand?

Thanks

David

Anyone?

I expect it will be rather wet at that time of year. You will find that when you go to book the tickets online you will probably get another page showing the total cost including fuel surcharges and taxes.

fuel and tax will be roughly another 600-700 baht one way. still a good deal though

Krabi During August will be little raining, as I was Last year, But still enjoy the Railay Beach ofr three days there. :o

Ok thanks guys.

Still not clear about the tax though, I was talking about the 700 baht tax that you pay at Suanaphumi, do you only pay that if you are LEAVING Thailand?

Also are there ANY beaches in the south (or Thailand in general) in August that have fairly decent waether?

Thanks

We spent Aug/Sept of 04 & 05 at Krabi and Au Nang, weather was great, swam every day.

the airport tax for domestic flights has been 50 Baht over decades, since February 2007 it is 100 Baht. thats ALWAYS included in the ticket price.

I booked Krabi for July 2007 as well, at 99 Baht one way, that totalled to around 650 Baht including all taxes and fuel / other surcharges.... quite a bargain, innit ?

there is one excellent homepage about Krabi, which is yourkrabi.com (hope its permitted to post that here), and those people published an even more excellent and very comprehensive GUIDEBOOK about the region, which u can order through their website...
