At 3 pm on Monday 11th June, the Pattaya police were informed that a tour bus had hit and instantly killed a Thai man on Sukhumvit Road. On arrival the team found the body of an unknown Thai man aged around 30-40 years old in front of a tour bus. He had no ID on him other than 50 Baht and a lighter. An eyewitness, Miss Sathaporn told the police that she was on her way to pick up her children from school. She had to stop at the side since too much dust was getting in her eyes – suddenly this man jumped onto the back of her bike and demanded her to drive ahead. She refused and he threatened to beat her up. Fortunate for her some passers by came to her rescue and unfortunate for the man, he fled by running out onto the road into the path of the tour bus which hit and killed him. The bus driver Mr. Wassan told the police that he was on his way to take his Korean passengers to a restaurant when suddenly this man jumped in front of the bus and he couldn’t stop in time. The Sawang volunteers took the body to Banglamung hospital and the police are now trying to find out the identity of the man. Was it an accident or did he commit suicide?
