Help With Application For Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am planning a trip to thailand for august of this year as a tourist. I am in the process of filling out my visa application and i am unsure what to put down in the past visits to thailand box. I first came to thailand in 2004 for about 5 days and then a year later i came back to teach on a non-imm B visa for about 10 months. In the past visits box i have to detail my last three visits and i am unsure whether to count the 10 months (in which i did border crossings to renew my visa) as one visit or numerous visits. Any advise would me most appreciated.

Punkrocker, you should count each entry stamp, ie “admitted <date> until <date>” stamp as a visit to Thailand. If the consulate asks for the last three visits, write on the form the last three admitted dates.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

I have usually written "Numerous visits from 1985 - present"

and that has never been queried.

Thanks for the replies!! I was just wondering what people would say if the embassy ask what i was doing during the 10 months in thailand? Cheers,
