Most expat insurers are based in the US. True, one can buy policies excluding the US (=very expensive care), but are there any local Thai or S E Asian firms offering expat insurance? They should reflect the relatively-low cost of care in that region.

It may be worth my while buying expat insurance there rather than travel insurance ex-UK if I'm spending several months of the year in Thailand / Cambodia / Laos. thanks.
