SALARY NOT PAID for January and February, WHAT IS THE LAW ? What a Thai has to do in this situation ? Anybody to help at Labour Department ?

Featured Replies

hello I really need help please,

When a Thai didn't get January 2022 and February 2022 salary, what can he do ?

Do you know the legal process ?

Company said that if staff want to leave, they can, and will get salary later.

But company is living thanks to debt since years, so how could they pay the salary ?

Are the owners responsible for the debt on their own personal money (they are rich), or there is no way that they are forced to sell some of their property to pay staff ?

Please tell me everything you heard or know, even if not 100% sure, I am trying to get the maximum information without paying a lawyer (do you know if all staff can group and pay only 1 lawyer for all ?)

Thank you so much

You need to go to the Labor Dept and make a complaint. They are very helpful.

Contact the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare.

Call their hotline 1546. They are very good at getting employees money back if at all possible.

The Labour Dept is in reality your only course of action against any Employer withholding Wages to their Staff.

They carry a stick big enough to make they Employers pay up, whereas a Lawyer will just leech on your Money and carry no stick.

Good Luck

Employers such as these are just too frequent in Thailand.

Maybe it is also valid for Thailand ?

Why on earth would a Singaporean law be valid in Thailand? ????

Thank you, but do you know cases when finally staff couldn't get their salary after company closed ?

If there is a risk, it can be useful to to something now, but if staff can be sure to get their salary at the end, maybe better not look for troubles before "the end" ?
