Yes, Thanks for that. I think the trick is, is to make sure it doesn't go through bank to bank into Thailand. Other methods as I outlined earlier such as using foreign debit and credit cards and of course, Revolut and Wise cards. -

I am no expert on economic theory, but believe the government could and should print money. But only on condition that it is spent into the real economy to provide goods and services that are needed. Otherwise, money (or to be specific, fiat currency), whether created out of thin air by commercial banks or otherwise, will result in 'inflation' (devaluation of the currency). I seem to recollect reading that in France it was formerly the practice for the Banque de France to issue francs to the French Treasury. But that this practice was discontinued at the time of the Presidency of Giscard d'Estaing, and replaced by borrowing, at interest, from commercial banks etc. The argument being that this would lead governments to be more careful with borrowing. It is interesting to note that a number of French Presidents of the Fifth Republic were previously bankers. From memory: Pompidou, Giscard d'Estaing, and Macron. -

Less likely to cough if breathing through your nose (filtered) or through a cloth (filtered)? Something suspended in the air. Possibly dust or pollution. Could be a specific type of wood/coal/vegetation that is burned. Could be an additive to gasoline used in Myanmar. Most likely IMO is a pollen specific to flowers/trees in that area. -

Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
If all foreigners who reside in Thailand > 180 days are to be assigned tax IDs, then the local provincial RD offices need to be educated on this. Because that is not their view. Their view is more complex. Some of us, who reside in Thailand greater than 180 days applied for Thai TIN and we were refused a Thai TIN. I am one of those. So perhaps it is more accurate to add some qualifications on that statement that all tax resident forrigners will get a Thai TIN, because currently that is not the view of some provincial RD offices. These offices claim its more complex than such blanket statements. Yes .. this could change, but then let's make that clear too ..ie a blanket tax ID is not required for all at present ( albeit tax ID is definitely required for some to many) and not make non verified statements that this will definitely change. Rather qualify such statements with the facts. That is what the Thai RD try to do. I think we all ( who reside > 180 days) need to both wait and see, while also evaluating our own situation relative to the need to get a tax ID as news becomes more clear. -

To be honest (officially ) I did quite well on the SERPS and graduated pensions add on, think it upped the OAP by a third Its stated time after time their "crackdown" is on UC and means tested benefits, nothing about so called fraud, if ever there was a fraud on OAP. Yes thankfully its going to bite, can see place like Bradford, Blackburn, Rotherham being decimated I think the compounding on unfrozen pensions is wonderful, or not so with AN Other Imagine 10, 11 ,12 years here and saying goodbye to TH. The unfrozen gets a brown envelope ,sack more than likely, on exit from TH with £30,000 in it, frozen get an empty fag packet Put this up in another thread, still the same vein tho If a OAP lives permanently in frozen country and receives unfrozen pension is that fraud? Let me explain: DWP will not answer, but A1 will "Has anybody ever been sanctioned/punished for receiving OAP in frozen countries? Copilot As of my last knowledge update, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in the UK has not prosecuted nor sanctioned individuals for receiving an unfrozen Old Age Pension (OAP). However, there have been instances where the DWP identified underpayments and took corrective action. Some dont care about self- certification and just assume you are Thai tax resident (this may get the bank into trouble) or assume you are a foreign tax resident (this may get you into trouble ) 2. Download the forms from their website, links have been posted in this thread. 3. Yes. But the girl at a small branch may not know what you are talking about.
