Trujillo
The road is deep sand, which was not compressed with a steam roller, covered with this tiny "rebar" and concrete poured over this. Does this seem correct to anyone familiar with construction?
carlyai
That's the way they do it. Looks like a good job, not flooded with water. ???? I wouldn't let cement trucks drive over it.
Swiss1960
That's the way they do it. Ensures that the next big rain will eff it up, so that new money must be allocated to fix it, start again from the beginning. Even main roads have this problem Only a small percentage of the money allocated for road repairs actually arrives at the bottom of the food chain (the workers). The majority disappears into deep pockets and is spent on committees, so the actual work uses cheap material with cheap workers
Derek B
Really need a photo of the soi proper to comment. Mesh has wide spacing - probably the weakest you can get. At least the mesh is being lifted off the sand base so the concrete can pass underneath. Looks good enough for a driveway.
