Popular Post samuijimmy Posted January 15, 2016 Popular Post Posted January 15, 2016 A few shots of back road on Samui and views from the Jungle Club, between Chawang and Lamai.... beautiful spot! View from the Jungle Club.... with clouds and showers view were variable, it seem to change every five minutes Back roads between Maenam and Lamai are in pretty good shape for the time of year.... Misty views soon changed Wat Lamai, way above Lamai town centre.... Tile was very slippery... use caution if wet!~! Bike riding up in the hills not for novices or faint of heart .... Jungle Safari rides do much of the roads and points of interest... 5

Popular Post samuijimmy Posted February 5, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 5, 2016 Hazzy in Nathon this morning, another Princess ship in.... (there was one yesterday too) This one had come from Singapore, then to Brunei, Pattaya Samui and back to Singapore... I was amazed at the number or tour buses, I counted 20 that come from Phuket to show people around the island and also about 20 local Safari trucks.... All destine for different areas of Samui .... Security seem to be taken quite seriously.... even a navy ship out there.... Some of the Phuket tour guides.... smile! The mostly Burmese workers working on repairing the fishing nets.... never in their dreams would they be even close to a luxury liner! Some "boat people" left to wander the streets of Nathon... those who decided not to do tours... 3
Popular Post samuijimmy Posted February 12, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 12, 2016 Back to nice weather again.... and calm seas all around Samui ! Maenam beach from Soi 4.... Choeng Mong beach yesterday... except for the Jet skiers who made this man fall off his paddle board... Ban Tai beach, tide high, but quite a few people there... Lipa Noi beach..... very few people there, but a nice beach at this time of year! Namuang 2 water falls 4
Popular Post samuijimmy Posted March 17, 2016 Popular Post Posted March 17, 2016 There has been a few nice sunsets lately... this one at the beach coming up to the Nathon hill, yesterday ... I never remember the name of that beach! Now the days are getting longer the sun will move north more each day now, and more visible from some of the north end beaches... 5
samuijimmy Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 A few images from Koh Phangan... (from the week end) From Ban Tai looking east Koh Samui, from Ban Tai , KP Koh Ma, from Maehaad beach... NW corner. It's about a ten minute walk to Koh Ma... The boats are snorkeling tour boats... (B and W image for a change) Sunset walk 1
samuijimmy Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Squid boats, light up for a nights catch. After the daily, morning beach grooming... Morning tide, down much more than in winter months done before most people get up. Tides much lower than during the winter months.... 1
Popular Post samuijimmy Posted April 11, 2016 Popular Post Posted April 11, 2016 Tongsala... The Koh Phangan (in dry dock) Entertainer, at Seatran, Lomprayah pier, waiting area... Lomprayah ferry arriving, from Chumphon and Koh Toa Samui bound tourists 3
Popular Post samuijimmy Posted April 14, 2016 Popular Post Posted April 14, 2016 Kilometers of beaches on south west area of Samui..... free to explore, but no bars or restaurants. Head through the Temple gate just near the Snake farm... a couple of roads to follow... take your pick! Good views of Koh Mudsum and Koh Tan, and the mainland on clear days...it's better. But do watch out for Buffalos! (not a problem.... ) 4

samuijimmy Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Sadly not so uncommon to see no safety ties etc ^ I guess Songkran, only lasted the usual half day on most parts of Samui...? This little squirt was in the Nathon area! Of course no helmet on bike riders.... I had to laugh to see in the CM forum, that a farang was arrested and fined 100 baht for not wearing a shirt.... Samui has different values!

You have not read every thing Posted Yesterday, 14:03 If you follow Richard Barrow on Twitter they're saying the police instructed him to cover up at an opening ceremony attended by the tourism minister but he refused and this was the consequence Plus this link so every one will be happy http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/910436-cover-up-crackdown-continues-in-chiang-mai/ balo likes this Like This Quote
samuijimmy Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 ^ I just added to the CM link.... suggested they come here, to see handsome bare chested men! Ban Por beach this afternoon , pretty much like the road to Tesco and back today.... not many people out and about! Just a few off island Thai visitors ... and a couple of local kids collecting baby clams The turtle is in the back too.. 1
Popular Post samuijimmy Posted May 1, 2016 Popular Post Posted May 1, 2016 This venue is now closed as Spring 2017 New fun place to go! Especially for anyone with kids... Located between Maenam and Ban Tai, almost opposite the Susco Gas station .. (What used to be the Esso station) Common areas are free to enter ... some activities are user pay... They assured me, that Farang pays same price as Thais! Some attractions are not completely finished or open yet... All kinds of knick knack stuff for sale Nice sitting areas for meal or drink Swimming pool and slides Swimming lessons too! Pool entrance fee 180 baht for kids, 350 baht for adults. Pop along, you might even see my friends.... 3

Tchooptip Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 A few pictures inside the Samui Naval base, insted of turning left to the ferry pier to Donsak you go straight on a few hundred meters, there is a barrier with an armed guard that will stop you ...but every one is allowed to go in to visit, the guard will just ask what do you want, heeu just looking... Ok no problem I reckon without Thai people with us it's not obvious, by the way there is only this one and only boat...but IT IS called the Samui Naval base and belongs to the Royal Thai Navy 1
