BANGKOK (NNT) - The International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) has given its approval for the 2026 Category B International Horticultural Exhibition to be held in Udon Thani, Thailand.

Three injured, one missing after oil tanker explosion and fire on Chao Phraya River

Three crew members of an oil tanker were injured and one is missing after the vessel caught fire following an on-board explosion at the pier of IRPC, a petroleum and petrochemical company, located in the estuary of the Chao Phraya River in Samut Prakan province this morning (Wednesday).

COVID-infected mothers can breast-feed their babies, but they must be careful to prevent the babies from becoming infected, by wearing face masks at all times, washing their hands before touching their child and avoiding sneezing while breast-feeding, according to Deputy Director-General of the Department of Health Dr. Ekachai Piensriwatchara.

Tangmo’s Companion Admits to Causing Fatal Boat Lurch

BANGKOK, March 9 (TNA) – Phaiboon “Robert” Trikanjananun, a speedboat companion of late actress Nida “Tangmo” Patcharaveerapong confessed that he did a lurch while driving the boat and caused her fatal plunge in the Chao Phraya River in Nonthaburi on Feb 24.

Business operators have complained over allegedly fake SHA+ certificates issued from Pattaya City, charging expensive fees for the certifications which ended up being, according to officials from other jurisdictions inspecting local businesses, fake and improper. Pattaya City, however, says there was never such a program in place and is investigating.

People in Thailand’s capital queued up this morning (Wednesday) at gold shops along the Yaowarat Road, widely known as Bangkok’s Chinatown, to sell their gold for cash, because gold prices continue to reach new heights as the Russia-Ukraine conflict affects global oil and gold prices.

Fire on oil tanker extinguished, one crew member still missing

Firefighters have managed to put out the fire on board the oil tanker “Smooth Sea 2”, as IRPC, a petroleum and petrochemical company which owns a pier near the explosion, gave an assurance that there is no oil left in the vessel, which is currently docked at the pier in the estuary of the Chao Phraya River in Samut Prakan province.

Plan to make COVID-19 endemic disease in Thailand from July 1 approved

Thailand’s National Communicable Disease Committee (NCDC) approved, today (Wednesday), the Public Health Ministry’s plan to classify COVID-19 as an endemic disease in four months, starting on July 1st, if things go according to plans.
