webfact
Picture: Thai Rath A bizarre case is playing out in Chiang Mai in the north of Thailand. A man called Wirat and a friend found the body of an eight month old foetus in the freezer at a house in Muang district. Wirat's mum said it must be her adopted son's aborted baby. He is in jail for theft. Yesterday the mother of the child went to the Mae Ping police to explain matters, reported Thai Rath. She said she got pregnant with Benjarong's baby in 2020 but developed problems. She said that Benjarong told her he'd taken care of the religious side of things after getting 5,000 baht from his stepdad. But he hadn't. He'd shoved the child in the freezer instead. She had no idea. Praew, an assumed name of the 33 year old mother, said she'd like to have the corpse - that she'd never seen - for a proper Buddhist send off. Not only in Chiang Mai, but across in Vietnam in May 2021:- "VIETNAMESE police have discovered more than 1,000 human foetuses in freezers at an apartment in the capital city...following a tip off about a group of people seen carrying black bags in the area... the team had been storing the foetuses inside freezers before arranging the funeral........ the four suspects often collected aborted foetuses from clinics and garbage dumpsters in the city and arranged proper funerals for them" https://www.nst.com.my/world/region/2021/05/694345/more-1000-foetuses-discovered-two-large-freezers

Money makes the world go round - the guy obviously wanted to avoid the costs of doing what he'd said he'd do ... made 5k for shoving a bag in the freezer instead. Logical.
