Kiniyeow Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 I'm going to be in Bangkok soon and would like to see what if any, woodworking tool stores are open to browse. I'd really like to look at what Mid size Wood lathes are available, but I know pickins will probably be slim to none in that area. I know they have stuff on Alibaba that I like, but would like to go thru a local option first if possible.
lujanit Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Thai Carpenter has a website thaicarpenter.com. The site is in thai yet if you put english into the search box it will return hits. Helps to have a Thai to translate although google translate on camera mode does a reasonable job. I have used them several times. If you go there and collect they discount the price by about 300 baht. The other place to check out is all the machinery shops near Klong Toey market, Chinatown (not in the market itself). Plenty of stuff there.
Kiniyeow Posted March 10, 2022 Author Posted March 10, 2022 I'm already going to be going by Chinatown, so I guess I can look around there. Thaicarpenter is a little bit out of town, but their website looks like they carry a lot of nice stuff. So far it looks the most interesting, thanks!
