Trojan Issue

Featured Replies

Odd problem, so forgive the preamble.

Asked as a favour to look at a data problem {turned out to be a SQL issue} but whilst doing so found a recently installed set of programs. One exe of which is identified as being infected with the trojan below. Given the situation it's not, at least in the short term a viable option to point out the {presumably} Pantip software publicly. Would like to corral the issue and then revisit, probably socially, 1on1 with the right person to get things put right.

Does any one know if by corralling the identified the exe {i.e. zone alarm it so it cannot speak to the outside world} that would be sufficient? Have to say I suspect not. Anyone point me to a data source so I can review how this program functions {i.e. what routines it calls} and what needs to be identified on the machine.

Trojan Win32.Trojan.pSW.LdPinch.vm

I recently purchased some software with the very same virus in it & subsequently, did not install the program.

Generally, I do not install anything on my computer without first checking for viruses.

Software was purchased from a retailer at Tuk.com, Pattaya.

Just to follow up on this. I've added the Comodo BOClean product to the appropriate machine, on the basis that this may {stress the may} capture any illicit activity by the trojan, whilst I make suitable arrangements for a chat.

Any other thoughts welcome.

Thanks for the above, just to say I did have the private 121 chat and the issue is no longer in place. No face lost in front of the nasty falang :o
