The Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) and the Health Service Support (HSS) Department announced a crackdown on gangs specialising in falsifying medical and educational certificates today (Wednesday), including those selling fake PCR test certificates to the public, to be used for job applications or overseas travel.

CPPD Deputy Commander Pol Col Tarakorn Lertporncharoen told a press conference that police have seized the gang’s bank books, showing five million baht in their accounts.

He said that warrants have been issued for the arrests of three key suspects on multiple charges, including falsifying official documents, using documents or statements to mislead people into believing that they are medical professionals in various fields and using seals or trademarks without authorisation.

You mean being printed on Toilet Paper was not a giveaway as to being fake, I mean most degrees and certificates are not worth the paper they are written on when you use a online papermill university like so many were caught using about 10 years ago.

Beats working for 7-11.

The police have been issuing false certificates for years.  Check out Pattaya Dart Permits; Music Licences.

Brothel Permits.  Extra Security patrols. When I first came to Pattaya, I lived on Kao Noi.  Lots of bars had lock boxes outside & the police came round to collect their dues weekly/monthly.  My favourite bar on Soi 6 had no music facilities (which was why it was my favourite) but the cashier dutifully handed over weekly licence money to two smartly dressed young men.

I often had 'breakfast' many years ago on Soi Pattayaland 2, opposite the old location of Mistys.... saw a few doing collection rounds there as I dipped my yolk.

I don't know how these police chiefs can keep a straight face when so many of them are themselves owners of qualification certificates of doubtful origin. The Kaosan Street Press give free parachute  wings with every order over two hundred baht.....
