PayPal Changes

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Does anyone know anything ref recently advised changes - now delayed - to the use of PayPal in Thailand.

I registered many years ago and have found it very useful in particular for getting birthday gifts to grandchildren no matter where in the world etc.

Also of course useful for local purchases.

Recently there has been advice of changes to come and there is one paragraph in the f.a.q  that I could not see the reasoning for.

Why not Debit Cards??    f.a.q  paragraph as below.  >>>>>>>>>>>>

'Do note that PayPal payments funded with a debit card issued from a Thai bank cannot be used to make payments in Thailand domestically. There will be no new restrictions on  PayPal payments funded with a credit card.'

Thank you - I realised after posting there was a Banking Forum - just did not want to mess up further.

Apology.
