There are simply too many people; and too many bad people, poor people, idiots etc. Actually, a good case could be made that there are too many rich people: Why rich people use so much more energy It’s mainly all the traveling, says a comprehensive new study. Here’s a simple and important fact for the fight against climate change: Wealthy people consume more energy and, consequently, are responsible for more greenhouse gas emissions than less wealthy people. And as income and wealth inequality have risen across the world for the past 40 years, the wealthy have consumed more and more relative to their numbers. Energy inequality has increased alongside income inequality. https://www.vox.com/energy-and-environment/2020/3/20/21184814/climate-change-energy-income-inequality https://www.leeds.ac.uk/news/article/4562/shining_a_light_on_international_energy_inequality Edited March 30, 2022 by placeholder
