Hi, currently stuck in the UK.

I know that Bangkok's live entertainment venues were due to start up again on Jan 15th but I don't think that happened.

What is the current status of that?

 

And what are the current rules for alcohol in bars and restaurants?

Google only throws up very old links for me.

I'm not sure what 'Live' entertainment you're looking for but there are live bands and reasonably priced beers at Country Road in soi cowboy.

If it’s live music you’re looking for many places are open now in Bangkok, including Saxophone, Speaker Box, Green Room and others.

 

Green Room sounds interesting. What's it like?

I recommend this for the week next to Nakorthon hospital Rama 2, food fair with short concert. Went on Sat, nice atmosphere, cute dancers and excellent singer we wanted to see
