Pattaya – Pattaya city will host the Kong Khao Pattaya Festival (a traditional rice ceremony) on April 17th and again on April 20th.

 

Kong Khao Pattaya Festival is a subtle, traditional way to declare the start of Songkran or the Thai New Year. As for this year, this practice has been announced to take place on April 17th at Wat Nong Yai temple and again on April 20th at Lan Pho park in the hope of promoting local, cultural tourism and upholding local, traditional sports.

Rice grains and catapults, what an earth can go wrong with such a traditional festivity

Normally getting pi$$ed, starting a fight and finding a bar girl for the night.

I guess a rice festival will have to suffice this year.

Visitors will be flooding into the city on hearing this wonderful news......brilliant idea

This will certainly bring in 10's of people.
