BANGKOK, April 7 (TNA) – Taekwondo star Panipak “Tennis” Wongpattanakit and three colleagues tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from Spanish Open 2022.

 

Thanadit Raktabutr, secretary-general of the Taekwondo Association of Thailand, said they were among the Thai athletes who delivered great performances in the tournament in Spain and won a gold medal, a silver medal and a bronze medal.

The athletes returned to the country through the Test & Go entry scheme of the Public Health Ministry and the four tested positive for COVID-19.

It was bound to happen sooner or later as it has with many other athletes.  Face to face with other athletes in an enclosed environment and then travelling in close contact....

Yes, but what version of Covid ?  Those three are probably in the best shape of anyone I know. If any one of them is on deaths door I'd be amazed and saddened.

So you would he shocked to find them on a ventilator or hospitalized, really?  It's happened to plenty an athlete.
