Tangmo death: Case set to close by the end of this month - but DSI could yet take over

Thai Rath reported on the continuing investigation into the death of actress Nida Patcharaveerapong or Tangmo.

 

Royal Thai Police spokesman Pol Maj-Gen Yingyot Themjamnong said yesterday that case files will be with prosecutors by the end of this month. 

 

RTP chief Pol gen Suwat Chaengyodsuk has put Region 1 in sole charge.

 

Two more witrnesses are being interviewed in the case. 

 

Whether the case is ended or is taken up by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) remains to be seen.

Yingyot was non-committal on this saying that contact was made but that didn't mean the case was being handed over. 

 

Tangmo, who was aged 37 and had dozens of TV and movie credits to her name, fell off a boat into the Chao Phraya river and was later found dead. 

 

The case has been the talk of Thailand since the end of February.
