April 20, 20224 yr Like this: I don't actually want to brew beer! It's for a bell jar/sound energy experiment for my students. You place an electric bell/buzzer inside the jar and then suck out the air with a small pump. The sound of the bell will get weaker, since sound energy needs 'matter' to travel through. I think the mouth of a jar like this will be enough for me to insert a small buzzer/battery ???? Edited April 20, 20224 yr by simon43

I've done this experiment using these types of glass bottles many times in the UK. But your warning is noted!
