It became obvious immediately how they work and the blind-side that inexperienced traders can fall into. I think running them on a well known asset like BTC or ETH, where one understands the movement of the asset and it's current range can be profitable. However, the tutorials that "help" newbies set up their bots basically set a lot of people up to lose money. For instance if I were to run one on BTC / USD I might set the range to be 38K on the low side and 41K on the high side and let it work between that range.
