The problem is you haven't asked a question yet.

This collection of words does not make any sense at all. I did try to help you but my reply fell on deaf ears. :o

Mike,

I shall try to be helpful.

Since you have posted on the Hua Hin forum, is it correct to assume your question is actually as follows:

"How does the weather in Hua Hin compare to the weather in Rayong, Udon Thani and Chiang Mai?"

If this is indeed the case, you should be aware that the expats who live both here in Hua Hin and on this forum typically live in only one of those places, and may not be familiar with the weather in others, and therefore may not be well placed to answer this question -- although I know there is at least one who has lived in both Hua Hin and Chiang Mai (PB where are you?)

I, for example, have lived in Bangkok, Phetchaburi and Hua Hin, but never in the other places you mention. I can only give you my personal feelings with regard to an answer. Hua Hin seems a little cooler to me than Bangkok, but more humid. Compared to rural Phetchaburi, which is only 40 miles to the north, Hua Hin feels both hotter and more humid, even though it experiences far less rainfall that Phetchaburi. I can tell you positively that I am suffering from a humidity rash in Hua Hin, which I never experienced in either Bangkok or Phetchaburi -- but on the other hand this may be just because I am older now.

Moreover I cannot back any of this this up with weather statistics -- it is just my personal feeling. And I am certain that others will disagree, perhaps strongly. I honestly think you have to spend some time in each place yourself, to be sure of the answer.

By the way I have never lived in Indiana (what's it like?) I lived in Northern California for 25 years before coming here, and I am the same age as you.

regards,

Bill

Welcome to the Hoosier (from Indiana).

Hua Hin is windy, being at the gulf; right at the beach it can be very windy in the winter. Of course, it's always more humid near a huge body of water (think of Gary, Indiana), and that water makes it cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter.

Your question, as explained well by justwilliam, is too complex because you ask for many variables for four cities in different places.

It's up to you. If you drive a motorcycle, the rainy season is important. If you wear a toupee, wind is important. If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen (which is all of Thailand).

Thanks for the responses. I think most of you got the point of my request. It may not be

grammaticaly correct, but anyway I have asthma and really I am more concerned about

air quality.

Hard of hearing, not deaf :o

In Indiana, one day hot, humid, next day rain. winters cold, wet, depressing.

One reason I love LOS. the old bones feel good there.
