Shooting for the stars: Cambodia to be high income country by 2050, says Ministry of Planning

The Ministry of Planning laid out the trajectory goals for Cambodia’s economy and stated that the country will be a high middle-income country by 2030, and a high income country by 2050. This is according to a post on the ministry’s official Facebook page.

 

The Ministry of Planning of Cambodia and the Ministry of Planning of Vietnam have started to continue drafting the master plan on Cambodia-Vietnam economic connection to 2030 to be completed by 2022 under the authority of the two heads of government and the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Development Triangle Area (CLV-DTA) cooperation.

 

The master plan, once completed, will facilitate the achieving of the goal of higher middle income and ultimately high income for Cambodia. The country has made great leaps in development over the past decade, with the city scape being vastly different compared to 10 years ago.
