The draft budget for fiscal 2023 is full of flaws and it does not match up with the current economic condition, the deputy leader of the opposition Move Forward Party said on Thursday.

 

The cabinet approved, in principle, the draft budget worth 3.185 trillion baht last month and the official draft was published on Tuesday. The parliament debate on the budget is expected for May 17.

“The 2023 fiscal budget represents an increase of only 85 billion baht or 2.7 per cent which does not coincide with the economic condition which requires more,” MFP deputy leader Sirikanya Tansakul wrote on her social media page on Thursday.
