Daily News Thai Caption: Wife battered to death

Thung Mahamek police and Ruam Katanyu rescue services were called to a cosmetic surgery in the Sathon area of Bangkok after the murder of a doctor and mother by her husband.

In the kitchen of accommodation behind the well known clinic they found 38 year old Dr Nawaporn Malakorn, the clinic owner, lying in a pool of blood.

She had multiple head wounds and there was a blood stained pestle lying there.

The assailant was not just anybody, reported Daily News, it was her husband who was waiting to surrender to the police.

He is Julapong Sakchaiyanon, also 38.

The couple had lived together for seven years and were raising a 5 year old daughter.

He lost his job as a programmer in Chonburi during the pandemic and had decided to look after the daughter full time to help his wife who was the sole breadwinner.

But he said that he lost his temper when he was criticised for not looking after the child well when she had a toilet malfunction ahead of a swimming lesson yesterday morning.

Julapong said he picked up the pestle and bashed his wife multiple times until she was dead.

Station chief Pol Col Krissada Manawongsakul said that the suspect has been charged with murder and detained.

Somehow I am not convinced that he has the best personality to take care of a child.

RIP

Maybe its time Thais are taught from first day of that they need to accept criticism and not react violently , i think there would be much less murders if taught the right way to talk things out instead . IMO .

Unfortunately Dr Nawaporn's tragic death will not be recorded as a Covid victim. But I believe she very much is one and I wonder how many other tragic incidence there have been like this around the world.

Ordinary working folk pushed to the brink by the stress and tension that has resulted from the crazy over-reaction that we seen over the last 2 years.

End this madness now and let people get on with their lives.

Quite right.

And this breeding I believe has its source in kids being forced to 'Wai' at older people, and speak with forced politeness, Kha, Khap. No teaching about emotional control.

When they grow old, they react negatively to this, and want to show the world that they are now adults, with no way to show that, except with strength, violence....

Well, that is what I think, hehe

Daily disturbing, sickening dose of fragile Thai males ill-prepared to deal with a little things known as responsibility, rational reasonable thought, sound decision making...aka LIFE.

Another day, another disturbing story of another unstable, violent, insecure, infantile Thai male whackjob brutally murdering his wife.

Wife, gf, parents, children, friends, other family members, coworkers...absolutely NO one is safe from their vicious rage and murderous personalities.

That poor, unfortunate little girl. So sad and traumatic for her.

Still...he should be put to death immediately. No loss and make Thailand a better and safer place.

Sometimes the constant nagging and complaining makes guys snap.

And Amber Heard thought she had problems with Johnny Depp.

And no full moon and the weather is cool in the spiraling nuthouse ????Rip

Another selfish, ignorant, piece of <deleted> that should be executed.

A women should never marry someone who isnt better than them in economic terms. Because it's very hard for men to accept that women are and can be better than them if provided a chance.

Send him to Bangkok Hilton and he will face lot of toilet malfunctioning.

Reported off topic post removed.

I am sorry that the Dr lost her life in such a brutal way but now my concern is what happens to the 5 year girl. That's an important part of this tragedy!

Other way round, actually.

1, They generally don't. 2, Often the women have just as much of a problem as the men do. 3, He lost his job due to covid, so he may have originally been earning more than her.

Probably just a mistake in your wording, but this suggests that women are and can be better than men.  Obviously a woman can be "better" than a man, but a man can also be "better" than a woman. ????‍♂️

She pooped or peed herself.  I assume from the post that the mother was complaining that he didn't clean her properly before she went swimming.  If this is the case, she had a pretty sound reason for griping at him.

Poor kid.

Sometimes I feel like things which we call child abuse, Thai people call normal.  Which is pretty heart-breaking.

But, knowing the cultural context, sometime the slightest criticism, or even *perceived* criticism, can do the same.
