Battle is heating up both online and offline as Bangkok governor candidates woo voters of all generations ahead of the May 22 election.

In the offline realm, candidates are jostling for attention via banners, billboards, leaflets, radio spots, newspaper ads, and even TV commercials. In cyberspace, they are bombarding voters with creative content and eye-catching gimmicks.

9 more days until those annoying signs that make driving in Bangkok eve more dangerous than usual will start to go way!

Those signs....

There is one on the corner of our soi which blocks visibility both turning into and out of the Soi.

I have wondered what the consequences would be of taking down the sign or moving it back.

But... this is one of those ’not done’ things in Thailand, yet the authorities allow this flagrant diregard for the safety of motorists to continue....

Utterly lazy, incompetent authorities continue to allow this utterly feckless-fluckwittery to continue...  the placement of those signs in so many cases is just utterly idiotic and as you mentioned, dangerous.

Complain to someone (in authority about it)... ‘farang think too much’....  and most Thai’s, they simply fail to see any danger there at all which is the major threat to safety in Thailand, so many simply do not know what they do not know and are unaware of consequences.
