Car bomb builder sentenced to 46 years in prison by Yala court

A car bomb maker was sentenced to a total of 46 years in prison yesterday (Tuesday) by the Yala provincial court after he was found guilty of involvement, with eight others, in stealing a van and turning it into a car bomb.

Opposition chief whip Suthin Klangsaeng admitted yesterday (Tuesday) that he is not certain that opposition parties will be able to scupper the 2023 fiscal budget bill, deemed to be incorrectly proportioned by the Opposition and government critics, while government parties are confident that it will sail through its first reading in the Lower House.

Prayut announced that Thailand is ‘financially secure,’ but opposition blame the PM for mishandling national budget

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha said in parliament on Tuesday that the country is financially secure despite rising debt. He noted then that the first strategy for the 2023 fiscal budget year is to pursue “national stability.”

Former British Hua Hin Resident Sentenced For Murder

Yesterday (31st May) the Kanchanaburi Provincial Court sentenced former Hua Hin resident Shane Kenneth Looker to 8 years imprisonment for murdering a 31 year old Thai woman, Laxami “Look” Manochat, in 2014.

Thanakorn Wangboonkongchana, a spokesman for Prime Minister Prayut Chan ocha, on Monday, confirmed to the media that face masks are still mandatory in Thailand after a cabinet decision on Monday to reject a proposal to scrap the outdoor face mask mandate in June.

56-year-old woman arrested by Sri Racha police for possessing one cannabis plant allegedly for medical purposes
