Normally go to Savannakhet, Laos but not sure they're open and issuing tourist visas Ubon joe is saying Phnom Penh is a 5 working days wait to get it... Woof999 Posted June 6, 2022 Share Posted June 6, 2022 I believe the Savannakhet - Mukdahan border opened fully 2 weeks ago. My mother in law used it as soon as it was opened. You will not be able to apply for a Special Tourist Visa (STV) anywhere but your home country. Phnom Penh is a 2 day wait for a tourist visa. For the last month, there have been reports of border runs via Mukdahan/Savannakhet, including the use of the Svannakhet consulate for visa applications.
