Daily News Thai Caption: Why take that?

A student in the north east of Thailand said he was completely "ngong" (confused or flummoxed) after two men approached, produced a knife and stole his school shirt.

Kittiphat, 16, a vocational student said he was with two friends on a motorcycle going for lunch at 12.20 pm yesterday.

At a T-junction in Ban Run of Bakdai sub-district, Surin, he said that two men aged about 20 on a Honda Wave asked them to stop.

He thought they were going to ask him the way.

The three were then ordered to get off their bike and one of the men then said:

"What school shirt is that?"

Kittiphat showed him the insignia and then the man ordered him to take it off.

He held a knife to his chest and said:

"Are you gonna do it nicely?"

Kittiphat complied, then the men fled the scene with his shirt. He suffered no injury but was completely shaken up by the incident.

So much so that he could barely remember what the assailants looked like.

He said that neither he or his friends had any trouble with anyone and had never seen the men on the bike before.

A report has been filed with the Phanom Dong Rak police who are investigating.

I can only think the assailants knew of someone that would be going to the same school in the near future and couldn't afford a shirt.................so take one off a kid's back.

Nah, I think that is too far out. That would be something that actually makes a little bit of sense. I will go on pure madness as usual.
