Poramase Ngampiches of the “We Love Pattaya group” has won the Pattaya mayoral election, according to the unofficial results from fresh elections held yesterday (Sunday) at two polling stations, following a delay in issuing results from the May 22nd election, the first such in a decade, due to a mismatch between the number of ballots cast and registered voters.

Altogether he garnered 14,482 votes, followed by Sinchai Wattanasartsathorn of Pattaya Ruamjai group, who received 12,524 votes. Kittisak Nilwattanathochai, of the Move Forward party-backed Pattaya Future group, came third, with 8,774 votes and Sakchai Tanghoh received 990 votes.

38,524 of the 78,018 eligible voters cast ballots, representing a 49.38% voter turnout. There were 1,004 invalid votes and 750 blank ballots.

I thought he was part of the same K family.

Maybe the endless road and pavement works will come to an end after years of digging them up?

He wa their nomination  from the same party so it's business as usual. He was Assistant to Ittiphol Kunploeme, ( previous Pattaya Mayor before his brother ) ,  at the Ministry of Culture before resigning to replace the current Mayor from said family. I'd be willing to bet the outgoing Mayor will end up appearing somewhere in the government next election, Minister of Tourism has had a synergy in the past with previously being Pattaya Mayor and control at central and local level.

Not a chance anytime soon. Putting the remnants back together would fill this guy's term. They appear to have little power over the contractors, even when owned by a friendly sister. Want to see a mess... try walking from Big-CX to Beach Rd on the pavement. It cannot be done.... and take your eyes off the ground, you will injure yourself. There are issues all the way!

Keep dreaming now that it is official he could start to collect those red or brown envelopes officially!

Nothing is going to change it is just a stepping stone to getting his white uniform!
