Sanook Thai Caption: (He) returned home after the murder

Sanook reported on the continuing movements of a Thai man who is suspected of killing a Thai couple in Taiwan.

The suspect is now on the run with Thai police on the case; he returned to his father's home in Chiang Mai, said a brief hello to his children, then abruptly left in his father's Volvo.

The Thai media reported that Taiwanese media said that Santi or Yang, 35, murdered the man and the woman - who was five months pregnant with twins - then stuffed them in the boot of their white BMWX4, drove away from a house and left them in a western suburb of Taipei by a high speed railway station.

They had met at a house to discuss a business conflict concerning money but argued.

The couple had multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

CCTV showed the woman still alive last Wednesday then the BMW being parked at 4.50 am next day.

From there Santi went to the airport where he boarded Starlux flight JX741 to Suvarnabhumi arriving in Bangkok at 12.44 pm.

Reporters went to the suspect's father's home in a well known housing estate in Nong Jom, Sansai, Chiang Mai where his father, elder sister, brother in law and two children reside.

The brother in law said that he arrived at 6 pm Thursday in a van from Chiang Mai airport. He said hello and mentioned missing his kids.

He didn't appear stressed or say anything else.

He soon left in his father's Volvo without saying where he was headed.

Only after that did they hear what had happened in Taiwan.

His father has lived in the house for 20 years and the brother in law said he didn't know much about the suspect.
