"The Royal Gazette published a Public Health Ministry announcement classifying smoke from cannabis and hemp as olfactory "nuisance" Tuesday night. The announcement is effective today.

This was followed by a warning from the ministry that smoking marijuana can cause asthma and lung diseases. Marijuana for medical purposes was decriminalized on Thursday but some are now smoking for recreational purposes.

Violators could face a fine of up to 25,000 baht and/or jail terms of up to three months under Public Health Act."

They are doing nothing wrong.. You cannot raid a legal business.. 

IF they change the law sure.. If they have extracts sure.. But the law is open now.

but dr Anutin doesn't have any level of medical training.

More likely some of the journalists have medical qualifications and knowledge, than himself

That is definitely true, I was more referring to the recreational "activists" that have begun selling openly, they may be feeling the heat soon ..which is sad if it happens.

That’s it I’m unsubscribing from this misinformation network. I buy it all the time there are no issues with it at all you all are literally the only ones trying to create one lol. Btw just received my package of 22% THC OG KUSH from one of the legal shops actually in the mail now. They have totally removed the restrictions and I see certain people don’t like that lol. Decriminalized means they don’t ask questions I’m glad Autin fought back good for him. Good for Thailand for legalizing weed totally.

There is currently no regulation on potency of weed/cannabis.

 

However extracts from cannabis containing more than 0.2% THC is still a Category 5 Narcotic.

 

Theres a ton of confusion around this topic, but here is an example of what the 0.2% rule applies to

The reason being is that all extracts can possibly consist of 100% THC, as it is a concentrated form and extremely strong.

Concentrates also can be easily infused into food, and drinks as well which has its own sets of potency rules.

As it currently stands theres nothing wrong with planting a high THC strain of cannabis. 

Also it's worth noting that medical/therapeutic uses are not exclusive to CBD, and extend to THC as well.

 

I look forward to better regulation on labeling, and what is inside the actual products, and if they were grown by a licensed grower, as well as what products were used during cultivation (like pesticides).

This is all illegal in Thailand as it is a Category 5 Narcotic, and may still be extracted with the proper licenses, and/or for export but for use to infuse into other things at the 0.2%. 

 

Stay away from anything in the picture above if you wish to follow the laws of Thailand.

 

You can find those things easily available in California for example, but keep in mind that cannabis in the US is behind Thailand as it is Federally illegal still. It will be very interesting to see how the market in Thailand evolves especially considering they have not imposed any rules, and seem to be letting the dust settle before doing so.

So, does my opinion matter as I am only a guest here in Thailand? I am retired, and as a retiree everything I do is recreational. I sometimes ride my motorbike just for recreation, is that wrong? People do die in motorbike accidents. I have friends over for the weekend, we BBQ chicken and drink beer just for recreation, is that wrong? People do die from drinking. I love to swim just for recreation, is that wrong? People do drown from swimming. I love flying to Phuket to enjoy the beach just for recreation, is that wrong? People do die each year from plane crashes. I could go on and on, but the fact is that you can die from just about anything, even drinking too much water or over eating can kill you. If we were to make everything that can kill you, against the law, than there would be nothing left to do legally. I ask you all to look around you to see what is going on in the world. From the unprovoked war in Ukraine, to the senseless school shootings in the U.S. From the flooding along the coastlines, to the droughts in our heartlands. From the still present global pandemic to the rise in preventable diseases. Don't we have better things to worry about then whether or not recreational use of cannabis is wrong? It's a natural growing plant that has probably been here long before humans.

Well I can agree partially with many of your comments but then your arguments regarding cannabis surely would also be applicable to opium, where do you draw the line ?

Never heard of  "overdosing" on marijuana.

 

Perhaps it's people just wanting to regulate the stuff so that they can control it and then profit from it.  

 

It's similar to the alcohol regulations.

Just a few families are allowed to reap the profits.

Intelligent, rational, compassionate, sensible, ethical, empathetic people with the ability to use their brain properly, don't abuse anything let alone an highly addictive drug in the same way we don't abuse pharmaceutical opioids. Oh wait, it seems that some people do, however, it's still available, and people are still dying from them, so there really is no line to draw.

 I note the other story is the police saying there were no reports of traffic accidents caused by the legalization. To give perspective they should have said in the 4 days since legalization how many traffic accidents were caused by alcohol. None? A couple? Dozens? Fatalities? If weed is to be compared to alcohol surely in the 4 days there will be some interesting data allowing fair comparisons.

 

Come on Anutin.  You did a great job explaining how most of the people who died after Sinovac jabs actually died of something else because they were obese and had many pre-existing conditions.  Get to it.
