Daily News Thai Caption: Sex trade gang

 

Daily News reported on moves by Thailand's Anti Human Trafficking Police under the leadership of Pol Maj-Gen Wiwat Khamchamnan.

 

Yesterday the AHTP arrested a 47 year old Thai woman called Rassami Trathip on a warrant for human trafficking and conspiracy. She was picked up in flats in the That Yao area of Lat Krabang, Bangkok. 

 

It is claimed that since 2021 Rassami and her gang posted an advertisement on Facebook for "Massage and Spa Work Abroad".

 

It entailed providing traditional Thai massage, according to the ad.

 

For this interested ladies would get 50-60,000 baht a month and a free flight to Dubai.

 

But once they arrived they were met by burly men and were taken to a place that looked like a massage shop from the outside but was really a brothel on the inside.

Daily News called it a hell brothel in their headline and made much of the fact that women were made to accept customers despite having their periods. 

 

Victims were told that to leave they needed to pay the Thai equivalent of 80,000 baht, money they did not have.

 

They were threatened with injection of drugs if they refused customers so they complied.

 

When their guards were distracted one or some (the article was unclear on the number) managed to get away, contact locals and return to Thailand where they reported the matter to police.

 

Rassami denied the charge and was taken away.

50/60,000 baht a month for working abroad for strictly "Thai Massage".....some folks fall for anything...

The death penalty would be an appropriate punishment for a crime of this severity. And castration for all men involved. No punishment would be too harsh. 

How many times we already hear of similar stories comes to show you that the lure of a big payout is too enticing or that people are stupid and never learn from mistakes of others...

Praying on the poor and desperate is despicable.

Thai people should always be wary of taking jobs in Arab states. Stories of slavery and mistreatment of Filipino workers in those states are common. They can no longer get slaves workers from the Phillipines because the population finally got the message so they have turned to Thailand to get them

Like in Thailand, prostitution does not exist in the UAE ...because it is illegal ????

Is 1,500 USD per month too much for someone who provides strictly Thai Massage in Dubai? I don't think so.

Australia is a favorite destination for Thai massage women, if they can get in. 1500 baht for one hour of legit Thai massage, as against 200 baht here. I'll leave posters on this thread to work out for themselves how much boom-boom would fetch in Oz.

True of course however how well informed are the Thai folks who typically have very few options in life and very poorly informed/knowledgeable about what's happening outside of their immediate surroundings. Bottom line is that they don't read newspapers (paper or on-line), almost never watch a news program etc etc. They're lucky to know what day it is.

You make some good points in your post.

Hard to even begin the hell, of thinking it was a real job, and then finding out you have become a sex slave for Arab men. Does it get any worse than that?

Reminds me of 35+ years ago, regular indicents of these men, who mostly stayed at the Grace hotel in Bkk, beating up the girls and many times picking them up and throwing them against the walls. 

 

In those days many bars wouldn't allow these men to take girls out of the bar. And many bars wouldn't allow them through the door.
