Daily News Thai Caption: Ready for the long weekends

Head of Region 2 immigration Pol Maj-Gen Weeraphol Charoensiri told Daily News that he had instructed his deputies in charge of departures to make sure there was a full compliment of officers on duty at Suvarnabhumi airport for long holiday weekends in July.

Though he still cautioned travellers to make sure they arrived at check-in at least 3 hours before departure.

Weeraphol noted that with the Covid-19 situation improving by the day and with other restrictions now a thing of the past, there are far more travellers both leaving and entering Thailand.

This will be especially true in July with several long weekends.

Large numbers are expected to be leaving for the Hajj in Saudi Arabia from July 1st to 3rd.

Then there is the 13th to 17th July that begins with the public holiday of Buddhist Lent on the 13th.

Finally there is HM King's birthday on July 28th, the start of another four day weekend break.
