And the only reason NZ exists is because of their delicious kiwi fruit. I knew a NZ guy, he could only talk about wine and all the different expensive ones he tasted. OK I told him let me test you. I will order an exclusive wine and you try to guess what it is. (Ordered the cheapest house wine). After him tasting, gorgling and spitting it out he told me it was a Beaujolais Villages 1984 something like that. Is that common for NZ people to brag about their knowledge of wine? Do not think so Alex, kiwis not really boasters about wine. Not a lot about wine is talked about, not a nation of wine snobs. There are some excellent wines produced in NZ. Ockers have a few good red plonks, not my style. A good genuine Taylors Port is about all I would drink. We take pride in our beers, about the best going. So many mini breweries in NZ, such a variety of ales and stouts, love me beers. We often do a pub crawl of mini breweries around Auckland. OZ beer is weazels, they love copying Yankee crap peees. Sad thing is, so many OZ breweries are NZ owned..... summun gotta raise the standadrs, .LOL. How does a brewery crawl sound to you guys? Great beer I found EKU 28 Kulmbacher Brauerei (Schörghuber)Kulmbach, Germany As a reviewer wrote, it was how I found it, at the supermarket where I was nite manager. It turns out I'm a bit naughty… I actually got this one because of it's alcohol content - 11% ABV - which is more like a wine than a beer. I first tried it from cans.......... one can quite sufficient too. Until today, I had always thought it to be a Czech beer. Live and learn. Do not knock kiwi beers, some of the best are from mini breweries, pub brewers. Australian beers are weazels, even if almost all are NZ owned. Where do you hang out in LoS? Alex.
