Does True sell your number?

Recommended Posts

I have a dual SIM phone, and only for a week I inserted a second SIM.

So SIM 1 is True postpaid, while SIM 2 is True prepaid.

I have never made a call, send a message or gave the number of SIM 2 to anyone.

Since the first day I inserted SIM 2 I receive on average 3 spam calls or messages a day. I rarely receive any on my postpaid number.

Any ideas?

I get spammed all the time on AIS as well. I think the spammers just enter a range of numbers into a computer and its all automatic. They don't need to know your number, it's just in a range of numbers assigned to True (or AIS or whoever).

The strange thing is that on my postpaid number I get maybe 3 a month, while on the prepaid 3 a day.

I know on AIS you just select a menu number and its done.

Isn't that for "spam" originating from AIS themselves only?

When I switched from Dtac-> AIS that was the first number I called ????

Edit: Added link

I have no way of knowing what network its generated from so I dont know, sorry.

I just know after contacting it all stopped, now just the odd one may be 1 or 2 a month.

I've had the same AIS pre paid number for 14 years and get pretty much no spam calls (maybe one a month at most).
