webfact
Picture: Thai Rath Thai Rath reported that "luck ran out" for a Chiang Rai man who was hit by a train carrying TPI cement in Saraburi, central Thailand. Muang Saraburi police were called to the tracks in the area of Tessaban 2 Road, Soi 11. They found the victim with horrendous head and body injuries. He had a black wallet containing 90 baht, five old lottery tickets, and Thai ID indicating he was 53 year old Mekhawan from Chiang Rai. In a pocket of his pants they found an inhaler with one Ya Ba tablet concealed inside. He also had a tube for inhaling drugs with him. The #605 train from Saraburi to Lamphun was stopped 50 meters away. Driver Somchai, 56, said he had seen the man who appeared suddenly. He sounded his horn and applied the brakes but was too close to stop in time. It is thought that the man was living locally and crossed the tracks frequently to go to the shops. Investigations continue. Thai Rath described the man's injuries in grisly detail and referred to the train as an "iron horse", notes ASEAN NOW. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-07-08 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m.
