Non-imm 'o' Actual Meaning Of Expiry Date Question

Featured Replies

My Non Immigrant 'O' says it must be 'utilised before 26 June 2007'

If I arrive in Bangkok from Singapore ON the 26th, will I get another 90 days, or do I have to enter Bangkok on the 25th?

Thanks in advance

be wise and arrive on 25 June.

I'd go with the 25th option as well. Before, I'd say you would be OK but not anymore.

I think the English word "before" is quite clear. Last week my guests arrived 10 minutes after the expiration date of his type "O" visa - he and his wife in the wee hours of the morning had to purchase a round trip tickets to Singapore to apply for another Type "O" visas.

Another vote for arriving on the 25th, not worth the risk of immigration interpreting the word 'before' literally.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

There's NO WAY I'd try the 26th!!!

Don't give 'em a rope. They'll hang ya!! :o

This is very clear. If you arrive on 26th you do not have a valid visa.

You might also have problems with the airline if you book on a flight arriving on 26th. They might refuse to allow you to board if you do not meet the requirements for visa free admission (ie have an onward ticket.)
