Popular Post webfact
An 83 year old seller of Krapho Pla - a Thai/Chinese fish soup - has a lot to thank social media for. Last week he was facing having to close his shop in Hang Dong, Chiang Mai, after customers dwindled to 10 a day. But following a social media post by Warakorn Sangsupon customers have been flooding in again. Many had asked how they could support Somsak Phichitphan. The old man said that he was trained in Chinese cooking during his time working in Yaowarat, Bangkok's famed Chinatown. Later in life he worked in the tourism industry because he could speak Chinese but the pandemic scuppered this. So nine months ago he started his own restaurant near his wife's place but the dream has foundered - until social media came to the rescue. Now he is hopeful after two days of selling all his stock. He hopes to use the money gained to put new items like spring rolls on his menu. "Social media has turned my life around," he told Thai Rath reporters who went to Chiang Mai to investigate. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-07-26 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. I think its a sad story, that a 83 year old guy has to go out to work rather than relax and enjoy his later life with enough state money in his pocket

Johnnyngai
83 years old and still have to work. An example of no social safety net. Some people think that the whole world is lucky like them.

It may have nothing to do specifically to Prayut's but all Thai Government's of the last 100 years are responsible for failing to act! The UK introduced their first state pension scheme in 1908!
