Health minister Anutin has refused to back down from the decision to decriminalise cannabis despite calls from hundreds of doctors.

 

The minister said The plant is a useful form of medical treatment and will benefit the economy.

 

The cannabis and hemp bill is due to be presented to parliament before the end of August. 

 

A sizable crowd of Myanmar nationals and many Thai’s gathered outside the Myanmar embassy in Bangkok to protest the executions of four anti-junta activists.

A teacher who stapled a note to a students  shirt at a school in Phetchabun has been transferred temporarily on the orders of the minister for education. 

 

Responding to a  facebook post from the childs mother, the minister said: The teacher may not have any ill intentions, but the communication method may upset parents," 

 

A man has been taken to hospital phuket with suspected monkeypox, he was transferred to another hospital where  he has been undergoing tests.

 

A package of tax incentives has been approved to promote the use of electric vehicles, these include: customs duty exemption for vehicles assembled here.

 

A reduction in the excise tax from 8 to 2 per cent until 2025 and an 80 per cent reduction on the annual road tax. This new range of incentives come on top of subsidies introduced earlier this year.

 

The government has allocated a budget to rebuild Dusit Zoo in Bangkok, the original Dusit zoo closed 4 years ago. the new zoo will be built on a 300 rai plot in Pathum Thani and is due to open in 2026.
