The father of the 27-year-old ‘Mountain B’ “owner” was wanted by the Pattaya Provincial Court after the court issued an arrest warrant on Monday, August 15th, as they believe that he was the actual bar owner.

The 55-year-old father, who was identified as Somyot Panprasong, is now charged for causing serious deaths and injuries to others due to negligence and operating the entertainment venue without permission.

Local media also reported that the Court was convinced from their investigation that Somyot was the real owner of the venue which caught on fire after an explosion and killed 19 people but used his son’s name in the business operation.

Yep, I don’t think anyone was really buying that twenty-something lad as being the owner..

Good !

The Courts need to go after every single piece of scum that were involved in this horrendous incident.

OK ! Now they are going after Daddy, but who will be next ?

Who ever is responsible for letting this club operate without a licence, and safety inspections....????

Maybe pop is stepping up to save after get a offer he can't refuse to take the fall for the real people at fault and save his son?  ????

Sounds like a bad movie.

"The 55-year-old father, who was identified as Somyot Panprasong, is now charged for causing serious deaths and injuries to others due to negligence and operating the entertainment venue without permission."

What is a "serious death"?
The opposite of a "funny death"?

Who ever it was in charge of the building needs to be prosecuted

I am sure the paperwork will show the owner involved  plus those who cleared it as a restaurant in the first place taking their

brown envelopes ????

Plus allowing underage people in there as well

Greed and ???? over safety ????

If the father is the real owner, the son was the manager then both stand guilty...

they can be charged accordingly.

However the police no-doubt will not be charged for allowing this place to operate on their patch.

The general population doesn't seem to be kicking up as much fuss or anger as they did towards the idiot falang catching a few parrot fish!

Just an observation!

Dead or Alive ? :wai:

Why such anger towards the police?

The same police let foreigners drive a motorbike without a helmet or other protection.

The same police will turn a blind eye when you drive through a red light, or you are speeding,

Would you prefer a police corps like in your country?

If so, why are you in Thailand?

Your post is full of errors.....

The Police let all ride without helmets, more especially their own. Foreigners are, more likely to be challenged in central Pattaya.

I personally do not drive through red lights.....

I would like the police to be more diligent and work more to improve driving standards.

I am in Thailand because I like it here.... simply, driving could bear improvement.
