METV

Featured Replies

On the METV I am aware that I have to leave within 60 days or get a 30 day extension, when showing your hotel booking, do you have to show 60 days of bookings or one week or other? How long is it best to stay out of the country before returning on the METV? Thanks

If you already have a METV you will not require a ticket for anything you do here or for entering the country.

You can turn around and return to Thailand after entering another country to get a new 60 day stay from the visa.

Thank you, and when applying for the Initial METV How many days do you have to show in one hotel, especially if you do not know what the next hotel on your travels will be. Are they looking for all 60 days to be accounted for in advance?

That will depend on the embassy/consulate where you apply. In some cases, they may even accept an intended itinerary in place of hotel reservations (reasonable as, for instance, a hilltribe trek staying in hilltribe villages will not come with formal confirmation of room reservations).
