I am looking to buy a digital thermometer. I see mention of a thermometer with QC? 'QC' any ideas?

I also see Beurer digital thermometers (Lazmail Authorized store), are they good?

Beurer is an established medical supply company with a good reputation.

If you want to make sure that your digital thermometer shows you exact data, then probably it is a good idea that you buy one from a brand name company like Beurer - and a real Beurer and no fake.

On the other hand, you will likely pay 1/10 or less for other digital thermometers which might also be correct. It's very much up to you to decide which accuracy you really need.

That should probably show that there was some kind of Quality Control. But I wouldn't bet on the quality of such quality control.

A Beurer digital thermometer is based on infra-red sensing. It is intended for contact-less clinical measurement of body temperature.

Thermocouple type digital thermometers have other functions, such as measuring the internal temperature of cooked meat. Or radiator coolant temperature in a vehicle.

It depends on what the OP intends to use the thermometer for.

QC means quality control, implying the device has been checked for accuracy against a reference temperature.
