webfact Posted September 25, 2022 Share Posted September 25, 2022 By Matichon and Reuters published by CNA WITH Typhoon Noru (Karding) having turned into a super typhoon since last evening as it heads for the Philippines, the Thai Meteorological Department warned it will bring heavy to very heavy rain with strong winds during Sept. 28-30, 2022. The category 3 typhoon will be making a landfall in central Vietnam during Sept. 27-28 and it is possible it will move to northeastern Thailand around Mukdahan and Ubon Ratchathani provinces leading to this region getting very heavy downpour accompanied by strong wind. After that Noru will spread to lower Northern, Central and Eastern regions as well as Bangkok and its vicinity with the impact to last till Sept. 30. There is a danger of floods on hillslopes, near waterways and marshy areas.
