A team of doctors and researchers at Chulalongkorn university have developed a nasal spray to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.


The spray is designed to prevent infection through minute holes on the nose. The spray known as ‘Covi-trap’ will be available at pharmacies and other outlets from next month.

 

Former Myanmar model Han Lay detained last week at Suvarnabhumi airport has been granted refugee status in Canada after making her application through the UNHCR. She is due to leave Thailand today for Korea then onto Toronto. 

 

The former chief of Kaeng Krachan National Park, and three other defendants pleaded not guilty in the case of the disappearance and murder in 2014 of a Karen rights campaigner known as Billy 
charges included premeditated murder, intimidation, unlawful detention and concealing a corpse. Their trial is due to begin on 26th December.

Korea: 7 people have died in a fire at the basement of a shopping mall south of the capital. Fire officials and police were investigating tan eyewitness report that the fire may have been caused by an explosion of an electric vehicle that was being charged in the basement.

 

A Japanese diplomat based in Vladivostok has been detained by Russian authorities and accused espionage, Rissias FSB security service said the diplomat was detained while receiving classified information, in exchange for money.
